My Dogs

My dogs are very different. One is extremely lazy and the other is extremely crazy. 


Lazy and Crazy!


Here is the lazy one. She pretty much does this all day. Her name is Zoe.

Here is the crazy one. The only time she sits still is when she sees a squirrel or bird outside, as in this picture. Her name is Carlie.

Yummy banana bread!

I usually use the Betty Crocker recipe when I make banana bread, but tonight I tried this recipe from Emeril Lagasse

It was so yummy, that we already finished a whole loaf. Good thing I made two!!

Isabelle's Great Idea

I bought some cherries that were on sale for $1.99/lb (great price), however my family did not like to eat the cherries. So yesterday, I sat down and pitted about 2 lbs of cherries and made some cherry pie.

After church today we were all eating the second half of the cherry pie and Isabelle had the great idea to put ice cream on her pie, then we all talked about what else to add. When we were all done contributing to this monstrous dessert, it was something like this: cherry pie with vanilla ice cream on top, with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and a cherry on top. (pretty much a cherry pie sundae)

I'm so proud of my kids!

Isabelle decided to mop our laminate flooring. Which would be okay, except she used way too much water and there is a risk of damaging the flooring if it stays wet too long.

On with the story...

So, I walk in from washing the siding and I see Isabelle with a mop and a really wet floor. I panic a little and tell her that she has to get the water up fast or it will ruin the floor. She runs into the kitchen and grabs a towel, but as she runs back into the living room, she knocks her shin on the threshold of the kitchen door. OUCH!!

So, she starts crying because she is in pain and frustrated that she can not clean up the water. Bobby, seeing her pain, says, "I'll clean up the water, Isabelle."

However, I am now reminded that these times are special because they are so rare. As I type this, Isabelle and Bobby are fighting over who gets to lay down on the couch. They are such wonderful children!

New brushes in Photoshop CS5

I love the new brushes in Photoshop CS5! I found this tutorial online... My results don't look as good as their results, but I'm happy...

First Blog

I just realized that everyone else in my family (brothers, sisters, and parents) have a blog, so here I go.

I have discovered the wonders of Photoshop and have done some real damage to many of our most cherished family pictures (non-destructively of course). So, since pictures speak louder than words, here they are:

As you can see, Bobby likes to be in front of the camera more than the girls. Any criticisms are welcome.
